Your Library Media Center

The mission of the Library Media Program is to ensure that students and staff are effective users of ideas and information. This mission is accomplished:  

  • By providing intellectual and physical access to materials in all formats

  • By providing instruction to foster competence and stimulate interest in reading, viewing and using information and ideas

  • By working with other educators to design learning strategies to meet the needs of individual students

  • By promoting literacy and the enjoyment of reading, viewing and listening

OUR PROFESSIONAL COLLECTION

Through the School Library System of our Dutchess County BOCES, Arlington is taking part in the Cooperative Collection Development program. Our focus is professional development. This bibliography is a list of the books available to you. The books are housed in the Arlington High School Library Media Center, but may be acquired through Interlibrary Loan (contact your building Library Media Specialist) or by your personal visit to the library.
