Arlington girls clinch league championship FISHKILL - The Arlington High School girls' bowling team won its first league title, capturing the Dutchess-Putnam Interscholastic Bowling League title with a 7-0 win over John Jay at Fishkill Bowl on Wednesday. Sophomore Chelsea Assalone bowled a 616 series off games of 193, a match-high 222, and 201. Senior Amanda Olyha rolled a 551 series with a high-game of 201 and senior Amanda Faris bowled a 532 series. With 14 possible points to be gained in the regular season, Arlington with an overall record of 94-4 has a 20-point lead. "It's something our two seniors, Amanda Faris and Amanda Olyha, have wanted to do since their freshman year," Arlington coach Bob Jacovino said. "I'm very happy it happened their senior year rather than in their freshman year of college. This group is a very pleasurable group of girls to coach." Compliments of the Poughkeepsie Journal
