The Arlington Board of Education has begun the search for a new Superintendent of Schools, who will begin in the 2010-2011 school year. Mr. Frank V. Pepe Jr. will be retiring at the end of the 2009-2010 school year.
The Board recognizes that this is a critical decision that affects the community and staff. The Board has selected a search firm, FOCUS Consulting Associates, to assist with the search. One of the most important steps in the search process is to define the qualifications of the new Superintendent which reflect the needs of the District.
On November 2 and 3, FOCUS Consulting held a series of meetings to gain input on the Superintendent Search from various Arlington constituent groups. There was a public meeting on Monday, November 2. A survey was available so that people who were unable to attend one of the meetings could still submit input. The results are available below.
