Absentee ballots are available to residents who will be out of town or who are unable to go to the polls due to illness or disability. To vote by absentee ballot, you must first fill out an application.
A completed and signed application must be received by the District Clerk at 144 Todd Hill Road, LaGrangeville, NY 12540:
At least seven days prior to the election if the ballot is to be mailed to the voter.
If the ballot is to be delivered personally to the voter at 144 Todd Hill Road, the application must be submitted one day prior to the vote.

Absentee ballots must be received in the Clerk’s office no later than 5:00 PM on the day of the election. All absentee voters’ envelopes received by 5:00 PM on the day of the election will be sent to the election inspectors at the appropriate polling location. Any envelopes received after 5:00 PM will be put aside unopened and will be returned unopened. The District Clerk shall also put aside any envelope (unopened and will return unopened) if the voter’s name, residence and signature, as stated on the envelope, do not appear on the register or if there is no signature on the envelope.
