School Lunch Menu
The primary goal of the Arlington Food Service Department is to provide high quality food to the students and staff of the Arlington Central School District. Our staff works hard to prepare nutritious meals. This includes reducing the amounts of sugar and fat in recipes and ensuring that lunch meals fulfill the Dietary Guidelines for Americans set by the USDA. The Food Service Department also plays an integral role in educating students with life skills about good nutrition and healthy choices. Educating students on nutrition and physical activity is not only necessary to address childhood obesity, but also encourages a lifetime of healthy eating habits and regular exercise. We encourage moderation, not elimination.
The Arlington Food Service Department recognizes the importance of parents as partners in the nutritional education of students. For this reason, we offer education for parents and students about how to make healthy food choices with nutritional tips that accompany each menu. We believe that the education of children by everyone who surrounds them will teach children to make healthy choices and be sensible about snacks, treats, and diets. Please call if you have any questions or concerns.
